How is record store day in Baton Rouge? Do any stores get any of the special releases? Do people line up early?

What day is this again? Saturday?

I really only go to Atomic Pop shop.

But I feel like they rarely have good deals, just expensive rarities

Lagniappe Records is also participating (i believe they are BBQing and have live bands)

Either way, M+W is donating 6 pairs of tickets to Dick Dale and Damien Jurado to both stores to help with their giveaways/raffles etc.

I've only been to Atomic Pop Shop once and their prices were absurd. There was about a 50% markup on most of their new stuff. I guess I will give them another shot.

I find their used selection to be most egregiously overpriced. Last RSD, they were selling all the new releases at or very close to MSRP.

OP, people start showing up at Atomic Pop early- last year I got there at 9 am and I was 35th in line. You may wanna get there around 7.

I was so pissed when they took away the Student Discount Day and Atomic Punch Card.

I went almost every week when they had that. Now I definitely do not go as much

Euclid and Peaches are doing something. I'm sure Louisiana Music Factory is doing something as well.

Not a Record Store Day release, but the new Cloud Nothing packaging and record is gorgeous. It's an actual photo pasted on to the hardboard.

Got back from local store. Picked up the live Frightened Rabbit and Foals records, the 7 inch of CCR's 1969 singles, and Man Man's limited release of the Man with the Blue Turban.

How are the prices at Lagniappe? I didn't realize that place existed.

I don't shop at Euclid because I find the prices to be ridiculously high. I do most of my purchasing online as a result.
