The guys from the Esquire show Brew Dogs will be in New Orleans, brewing a special beer at NOLA next Thursday. There's going to be a crawfish boil and they'll hand out samples of the collaboration beer. Here's a link to a Facebook invite for this. LINK /
I'm toying with the idea of driving in from B.R. for this. I'm a big fan of the show they do and it will be nice to see NOLA and maybe some other Louisiana craft breweries get the exposure.

I may need to take off work on Thursday for this.

Although that's probably not possible

Never seen the show? They have a huge "party" to release the beer at the end of the episode. And everyone drinks it and at the end they ask if everyone likes it and everyone always does.
Wish I could be there

On the show, they make a beer in collaboration with a local craft brewer, usually with ingredients that represent the city and its culture. (They made supercaffinated beer when they were in Seattle, trapped fog in nets to get the water for their beer in San Francisco, heated water for their beer in Denver with solar power) They have a big party and give out little samples of the beer and ask the public what they think. From what I can recall, there are a couple of hundred people at a party with a little cup of beer.

I don't think it's an hour later. They are there for a while. Television editing brah. I always assumed it was a several day process. I would bet they are in Nola already

Never seen the show, but I'd expect the place to be packed. They could get a few hundred people there just by word of mouth.

From what I've seen on the show they usually have 50-100+ at the tasting. And it looks like everyone gets to try it. Than you cheer/raise your glass if you like it. Every show I've seen the people have liked it.

I like this show. Makes me think back to the show with Sam Calagione called Brewmasters. This show got me interested in homebrewing.

Just don't think the public was ready for that show at the time. Maybe it's time for a comeback?

Hell they had that many last night to watch kids play instruments.

If Brew Dogs were at Parish, I'd already have tasted test batches and reported back here.

Thats the issue...I've only brewed one or two myself, but I sure would not pass one out the same day or even within a week and ask for opinions

I'm an Abita fan boy.

I've heard somethings, but I'd rather keep my mouth shut. Also heard some ideas for the Mecha.
