Houston area OTers, what to do next weekend?

I will be in Houston from Friday to Monday with my girlfriend next weekend, anything going on? Recommendations on stuff to do?

According to some on this board, Houston has no culture and the city sucks so I guess there is nothing to do.

I tend to really like Houston. I'd go to an Astros game if they're are in town. Other than that, I'd maybe just drive and explore.

Pretty neat museums
I'm sure they'll be some sort of festival going on.
Weather should be nice and lots of outdoor/patio type bars in the loop.

Houston OTers, any recommendations on good gyms?
I just came from the Tellepsin YMCA downtown on Pease & Milam, and it's legit. (The Weekley YMCA would be the other that I might try out.) The only thing I would still like is a place to do boxing stuff like Freret used to have in NOLA, but I guess I can just pass on it.
Somebody was recommending FIT Athletic to me, but it doesn't seem legit for real boxing workouts, nor does it seem to have free weights, although I could be wrong because I never visited.

i go to a 24 hr fitness center ... basic gym membership ... not sure what you're looking for specifically ...
