I hope he's got good weather. There's not enough sunscreen to help me out there. I would be crispy.

I wonder how many spare paddles he has below deck just in case?

This would be his second complete transatlantic kayak trip in four years. He paddled the Olo from Africa to Brazil over 99 days in 2010.

So, that's a leg driven yak? What do they start at if you know?

My Mom will be 92 in 5 days and she's doing well, hope I don't live that long. That's just me.

Yeah, figured as much. IF I decide to get nearer to the water I guess I'll go with a shoulder builder. Thanks.

The mirage seems awesome for most water; but what do you do with the mirage when you encounter extreme shallows or thick marsh grass?

My hat is off to anyone who can paddle all winter in the North Atlantic. Awesome retirement adventure.

You can ALWAYS find them on BCKFC forums.

As to skinny water, you can pull the mirage drive cartrdige and paddle if you need to. (Jimbeam correct me if Im wrong)

Would it be feasible to drag one over a levee? I guess I'd have to off load most everything first. I'd have to paddle across a bayou, then drag it over a levee and then relaunch.
Might just stick with the motorboat.
