Just pull the drive out and go for it. How big of a levee? Buddy of mine pulled a 14' pro angler across the marsh one time because it was either that or a couple miles extra paddle.

You could leave all your stuff in it though.

Can't just anchor. I guess he drifts and hopes not to drift too far.

This, in a well traveled bayou. Levee is probably 15' high, but the whole distance is probably a 1/2 block.
I might start looking into the used ones for next winter.

if it's hard ground, they have really nice plug in carts.

I don't know what that is, but I might start looking. I'll have to be subtle about mentioning it though. They might think I got the AIDS or something.

basically a cart that has pegs that plug into the scupper holes of the kayak. they also have carts that you can strap under the kayak.
