Dallas advice needed: Best place to stay near Cotton Bowl?

Going to a concert in August at the Music Hall at Fair Park. It's close to the Cotton Bowl. Is there a good hotel to stay at that's within walking distance? No crap hotels...something semi-nice at least.
Thanks in advance

That area is in a ghetto. You better stay far away and drive.

if you want to die, sure stay in that area.
if you want to live, stay downtown and get a cab

Downtown isn't far. It's a cab ride away.
We used to stay at the Adams Mark when the Cotton Bowl was still played at the Cotton bowl.
It's no longer the Adams Mark and I'm not sure who bought it. Point being, anything downtown will be close to where you're going and probably the safest.

The Dart will do you right. Check out the website for the stops. I think there's two near there. Stay downtown and ride it to and from.

This. Just look at Google maps for nearby hotels around the Cotton Bowl. It's really close by.

Has anyone stayed at Hotel Indigo before?

Stay at a Hotel and UberCar that ride. As for Hotels - you will find that Downtown Dallas is a ghost town at night for the most part. So staying anywhere on Main, Commerce, Pacific, or Elm is not great for a party weekend. Indigo would not be on the list for me. I'd suggest W, Za Za, Crescent, even the Fairmont. The farther north you head closer to the AA Center the better. Exceptions of course, but as a general rule...

Hotel Joule, because:
But as pointed out earlier downtown is empty at night. Za Za is near a lot of cool bars, as is The Ritz and I'm sure some others - just look in the area on/near McKinney.

Anything on Central or 75 is ok too. Downtown is your best bet.
Go to the concert and get the hell out. I have been doing that for over 20 years. Get out fast!
