directed by David Fincher
starring Ben Affleck

Fincher's name alone is enough to get my attention

I've downloaded the book but haven't gotten too far into it yet. Trailer looks good though.

Has the potential to be a fine movie. The book was very clever and I enjoyed it. Yet, there are some legitimate criticisms of it that I agree with.

I only ever seem to see women reading this book. Is this another Shades of Grey book or is it legit?

Not Shades of Grey at all. I haven't read the book but it looks like a murder mystery.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are scoring the film. David Fincher is directing. It's gonna be awesome.

OP's linked video has been deleted. Here's another place to see it: LINK .

Not really sure what to make of the trailer. Didn't really do much for me. . . But then again, knowing who's directing it is enough to make me watch it, even without a trailer. Can't wait to see it!

Really good book. I did have a few problems with it but I'll save the spoilers.

I've actually read everything by Gillian Flynn and liked all 3.

You don't have to say due to spoilers, if you don't want, but what problems did you have?

I literally just finished it and am shocked, to say the least, at how it turned out. I couldn't put it down once the ball started to get rolling.

I really enjoyed it. The story and the manner of telling it was very unique for me. I can't get it out of my head. I wish I could talk to someone about it.

I'll save the spoilers but just say that I think she wrote herself into a bit of a corner with the very end. I hear she wrote a different ending for the movie.

I did think it was a really good book and I recommend Dark Places as well. I think they have also made it into a movie.

Yea, I am really interested in seeing how the end of the movie turns out.

It's virtually impossible to discuss criticisms of the book without major spoilers.

That said, I enjoyed the book, although there are some problems with the characters and their behavior . . . in terms of plausibility, perhaps?

Spoilers (for the book)

I'd imagine the movie ending has some kind of ramifications for what happens before and not a "well we are trying to work it out" thing.

I will be interested to see if the movie attempts the whole alternating narrative, particularly before the midpoint reveal.

Maybe we should start a book spoilers thread to discuss the details.

Looks interesting but the song in the trailer is hard to listen to.
