Without getting into a pissing match, or saying its been discussed "i am not up to date and just asking for a rundown". Which console is the way to go. Here is all i will be doing with it.
1.netflix
2. gaming.. main games i play are sports such as madden and nba2k. I also play some FPS multiplayer online. What is a basic pros and cons of each console. Are both the same graphically? Does one offer better performance and or graphics on games? I dont care too much about exclusives. I currently own a 360 with 50-60 games and pretty used to the 360 and happy with it. But would like to upgrade before the new madden and was looking for the breakdown. Thanks

how is online play for each? does one have better servers?
how are games compared.. does one look more crisp, or faster? I know ps4 has better internals but that isnt everything.

PS4. XB1 sucks balls.
Here comes the pissing match...
Seriously though, if you like sports games I'm not sure there's a difference between the two. Unless you're a MLB: The Show fan of course. If so, PS4 would be your choice.

It's pretty simple. The consoles are basically the same and The power difference is pretty much unnoticeable
What console do most of your friends play on?
What console did you have last gen?
Do you find TV integration, voice commands, and the kinect interesting and/or worth $100 extra?
In my case I chose X1 because they have a pretty good trac record for improving the UI by listening to the community, my friends all bought x1's, and the I found the extra media features to be interesting.

The PS4 looks better. For multiplats ill buy on PS4. Like the XBOX for its exclusives like TitanFall and I just ordered Ryse for 37 bucks off amazon. TitanFall is fun but its not a graphical masterpiece.

i dont play online with any of my local friends so no issue. i have owned ps2 for years then 360 and both were great. i have absolutely zero use for kinect, but do stream netflix and like to get the most out of whichever console i use in the future for tv use.

Without going into to much horseshite.
It's normally beneficial to go with the machine most of your social circle goes with.

Well Microsoft has it's own dedicated servers it uses for the X1, the only game I've played that uses them is Titanfall. And IMO they're much better than the servers EA uses for battlefield (on all platforms).
So I think Xbox wins on that front.

The cloud isn't fixing the frame rate drop though

List:
- Wants Netflix
- Doesn't Play With Local Friends
- Plays mostly multi platform games
There is only one question to ask then...
Do you like baseball/baseball videogames? If your answer is yes, then you need to get a PS4. If your answer is no, then you should probably go PS4 anyways because it's $100 cheaper.
ETA: I'm not bagging on XBone, but honestly the systems are damn near identical when it comes to multi-platform games. The only real added benefit for OP may be if he plays CoD, because Microsoft gets the DLC before Sony. Aside from that, the systems play out the same. Oh, and if you are in to this sort of thing, you can watch TV and play videogames on Xbox One at the same time.

Do you feel that paying an extra $100 is worth the 2 week early access to the new maps, knowing that if you wait two weeks, you can get them anyways? If so, get a PS4. If you feel that the extra $100 is worth getting the maps 2 weeks early, then go XBone.

You might also consider what controller you prefer as well. I find the Xbox controller more suitable for FPS and sports games.

You can get the Titanfall Xbox One from BestBuy for $450

+1
We will know more how the PSN+ handles online functionality, or at least I will, when MLB: The Show drops. I've still only played COD: Ghosts and haven't played that for like 2 months now, but I never had any issues at all online with Ghosts. My Madden league on the PS3 has kept me pretty busy until now. I'm looking forward to seeing how well PS4 does online with MLB, especially after the complications on the PS3 when the game first dropped there.
