I searched. Guess he could only play so much golf. He has a couple more medals to win.

Who cares, you could see this coming. Lots of media attention for his picture with a bong or whatever it was...by retiring the media left him alone. He just wanted a vacation.

Lol, what? He has just been training since the fall. Mostly to stay in shape. Sounds like he is not even training hard, just to get in the water. Sounds like he is bored with his retirement. Can screw so many hot women during down time.

Favre wishes he could hold Phelps' grape smuggler.

Figure Phelps will come back for Rio, win 2 or 3 golds, and further cement himself as the greatest olympian of all time.

Not surprising at all. He WAS burnt out....but 4 years is a long time.

He should do his best events only and enjoy the Olympics as much as possible.

Yeah, good for him. He is the greatest swimmer of all time and only 29. I bet he will train to do the 100 and 200 free, 100 and 200 fly, and 200 IM. If he is good enough to make the US team in any if those in 2016, he can definitely win some medals on the 4x100 and 4x 200 relay as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets something like 2 gold and 4 total medals in Rio.

Which is oddly, can only be swimmers due to the exorbitant amount of events they get to do.

Too bad sprinters don't have the 100m side shuffle or 200 meters backpedal. Or the 400m mix sprint, shuffle, backpedal.

He reentered the anti-doping pool months ago. There's a waiting period so people don't retire, dope up, and compete again so I imagine he's been training full time during those months and is probably already is pretty good shape.

He just wants to attend the Olympic Village orgies. He'd be crazy to skip out on Brazil.
