Ingredients are SET.

A Whole Already Roasted Grocery Store Chicken.

Blueberries.

Kale.

Pepper Jelly.

This is an Hors D'oeuvres Challenge: you must make a single bite serving or small app portion.

You must use all of the ingredients in your dish, in some way.

Please send your entries, fully formatted with [img] tags, etc to.

All entries must be submitted by 9am on April 28.

I disagree. I think this list of ingredients really lends itself to creative interpretations and recipes. The small bite aspect may hold back a few ideas, but it's better than having really tough or "exotic" ingredients. How about you actually jump in and give it a shot this time. Or is driving from the back seat too much fun?

Well, we have to understand that, generally speaking, we are not chefs. Also, we are not able to taste the dishes. We are strictly voting off of creativity and presentation.

You could make the ingredients ground meat, spaghetti sauce, noodles and parmesan cheese. It's still not going to make the challenge easy. You have to do something creative that stands out to win.

I like the ingredients. Lots of room to maneuver.

Quick clarification. This is an Hors D'oeuvres not Amuse-Bouche contest?

hors d'oeuvre

quote:

hors d'oeu·vre
[awr durv; French awr dœ-vruh] Show IPA
noun, plural hors d'oeuvre, hors d'oeuvres [awr durvz; French awr dœ-vruh] Show IPA .
1.
a small bit of appetizing food, as spicy meat, fish, cheese, or a preparation of chopped or creamed foods, often served on crackers or small pieces of toast, for eating at cocktail parties or other gatherings where drinks are served with no other food.
2.
an appetizer, as a relish or more elaborate preparation, served before or as the first course of a meal.

I'm trying to leave some wiggle room on portion size.

We are trying to keep ingredients a bit simpler and readily available.

The more ingredients are available, the more might consider participating.
