I don't normally post on this board, but knew that los_angeles_tiger posted on this board.

I have just been informed that he has passed away during the last week.

Edited to add a little bio information.

He was originally from Shreveport and went to Southwood High School. At LSU, he was active in the Baptist Student Union and Tiger Band, where he played mellophone.

He was an avid and PASSIONATE LSU fan, and if you are from the Los Angeles area, he had been the President of the SoCal Alumni Chapter there for quite some time a while back.

You can go to the Lsusocal.org page and see a picture of him with the 2013-2014 board. He is "Charley" in the picture.

He was in Tiger Band with me in the mid to late 1980s. We had some pretty good times and lord knows he HATED ALABAMA.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his sibling.

RIP Charles Jeffery, a/k/a los_angeles_tiger :(

Very sad to hear, was it unexpected? It looks like he posted just a couple of weeks ago...

I have not been informed of the cause.

Sadly, he was preceded in death by his entire family. His parents and siblings had all passed away.

He was survived by a partner.

OMG!!! I met him two years ago prior to the LSU/Alabama football game in Baton Rouge. A really great guy who truly loved LSU.

I am at a complete loss for words.

If there are any details you can share, such as info for memorial gifts in his name, please share the information.

I am just stunned.

Wow... Sad all around

If he was in Tigerband in the 80's, he was likely in his 60s?

That blows, I liked his posts.
