Young big man who has shown flashes.

Well hit the wire, so all the teams with worse records than the Pels have to pass, but if he drops they should gobble him up

It should be pointed out that Smith is out for the season. However, if claimed, he'd be a RFA with full Bird rights, and I want those.

Very good to great finisher at the rim, I wanna say he was at the top of the league in FG% last year. Not much range and a big time liability on defense.

Big and strong. Can finish at the rim. Decent rebounder. Blows arse on defense... which is strange because he's big and athletic.

Decent rebounding rate, 16.3% for his career, but a high foul rate, 5.9 per 36.

Smith > Stiemsma, but we're still talking bench big. Between Withey and Ajinca I don't think we have room for Smith unless we don't land a better starting big in the offseason.

Smiht is one of my favorite pelicans I just don't know if he will be able to stay with the team since he is worth more money than we will probably be able to offer. Withey and Ajinca will make relatively nothing.

Ajinca/Withey are better options for us.

Besides ryno will take of the backup 4 anyway.

Wouldn't mind another bruiser though.

To be fair, the Rockets were/are a mess on defense without a Howard or Asik manning the middle.

Smith isn't good there, but he's no worse than any of the guys the Pels trot out. And he at least rebounds at a good rate.
