Jail? No. You really think the Justice Department is going to prosecute?

Guess you haven't read that some Repubs have come out and said they will use Constitutional procedures in order to arrest Lerner if Holder refuses to...

Now does it get to that point, who knows.... The Repubs are fricking spineless and all talk.

Do you really think that's wise?

No, I think it sets a bad precedent and opens up pandoras box for when the Dems have the House again.... But on the other hand, I don't know what the frick else they can do in order to get Holder/Justice Department to do their job.

Did Lerner wave her rights? I still don't know...

But she either needs to be held in contempt for not answering the questions or prosecuted (don't exactly know what charges would be) for what has happened with the targeting of certain groups.

Perhaps not politically, but it would be even worse to set a precedent that this sort of thing won't go punished. Too bad the doj is just as corrupt.

Republicans...yeah. But not the Tea Party wing.

Does anybody know if there is a legal process that deals with a rogue DOJ/Attorney General? I suspect that if the Republicans win the Senate, things will change drastically...thanks to the TP. Select Committee seizing the e-mails and putting individuals on the cop-a-plea-for-info hotseat would do the trick. Book it, with all those meetings in the WH...it goes straight to Obama. Not that he'll ever be pegged; but that the historical record should reflect his atrocious character.

Yeah - I'm pretty much in agreement with you. When there are shenanigans going on in the IRS - we need to get to the bottom of it. I don't care who is in charge.

I also don't know whether or not she waived her rights.

I just feel like arresting her at this point would backfire. GOP would look like a-holes no matter what.

True, but I don't know what the frick else can be done...

Do they do something drastic and get to the bottom of shite or do they allow it to go on and its just business as usual?

There ya go. When half the country wants for the government to "spread the wealth around", the Progs can demagogue the issues with the help of the complicit MSM...and it all goes NOWHERE. But ultimately...the street.

Live and learn.

Holder already opened Pandora's box. Republicans are justified in some pretty radical appointments in the future because of him.

You can't let organizations like the IRS target select groups just because they oppose the administration at the time. That can't go unchecked regardless of who is in the White House.

Republicans need to find their spine and do what is justified and necessary. Democrats should probably think ahead beyond the next election cycle and consider that this abuse of power may not be always geared toward entities that they despise.
