Dark souls 2 has taken up all my extra time.
But I plan on getting the new MGS and this next.

I have it but I'm waiting for spring break to start because I can only play those types of games in 6-8 hour increments. I've been listening to the soundtrack tho.

I've been playing through it. It's just as fun as I remember. I absolutely love this game. I only got to Kilika so far though.

Ive been addicted to it. I am just leaving Zanarkand.

I spent a long damn time in both the Thunder Plains and the Calm Lands just grinding to get special items. I couldn't get the third Qactuar Stone to light up while in the Thunder Plains though and it pissed me off. The first two lit up quickly and I got to them easily. Then I spent about 5 damn hours just going up & down the map to find the third one and none of the stones ever lit up again. I cant remember if I need a certain item in my inventory in order to get the third one to light up or something. Any suggestions or is it just patience & luck and eventually one will light up?

I even went back to the Plains after playing around in the Calm Lands for a while to try again, but ran into Dark Ixion who whipped my arse in one turn. So I said screw it, I'll come back later after I get the airship.

Just 7 and 8. I realize it's not a popular choice, but it was the first I played and it's my favorite story. I didn't play VII or VIII until last year (played em back to back). I actually liked viii more than VII. Blasphemy, I know, but it aged much better IMO

I picked it up the other day. Haven't been able to play it much (still in Besaid) but the HD looks really good. Music in this game is fantastic and made me realize how much the music in FF games sets the right mood for things. Maybe I wouldn't hate everything post FFX as much if the music were as good

FFX-2 through Lightning Returns all have stellar OSTs. I don't understand.

Yeah haven't really played the last week since I met Cid. This is my favorite FF and one of my favorite games of all time, can't wait to finish.

How does it differ from the original? I've only played this one and VIII.

The things I thought were good were:
- Blitzball mini game
- Battlesystem was much better than VIII
- Weapon/Shield Ability Customization
- Beast Capture mini game

I think VIII was better and the card game was addicting as frick.

Besides the visual/audio updates the games are the international releases.
quote:

As the HD remasters are of the games' International versions, they have some new additions for North American and PAL region players. The Final Fantasy X International was never released in North America and includes a new Sphere Grid option, new optional bosses and new abilities. Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission was a Japan exclusive release, and adds new dresspheres, a Creature Creator system, a Fiend Arena, and a new dungeon: Iutycyr Tower. Unlike the original version of Final Fantasy X-2: Last Mission, where one had the option to load a save file from the Final Fantasy X-2, the HD Remaster automatically assumes the player had a perfect 100% complete save and play-through with the perfect ending when cutscenes occur in Final Fantasy X-2: Last Mission.

Both games have improved voice audio and have around 60 tracks remastered.[6][7]

Kazushige Nojima also wrote Final Fantasy X -Will-, a "new episode" for the HD remaster that is a 30-minute audio drama at the end credits featuring a new cast and new character voices.

Equip no encounters item. Go to this spot in the TP. The lightning at this spot strikes in a pattern. Once you get used to it, it's easy.
