I don't get to play as much as I want and still playing .22.

I've filled out the tech tree.

While manned missions theoretically give more science with crew reports, EVA reports, etc, what I started doing to negate that was sending up unmanned missions with multiple probes.

I'm getting more science doing that than I did manned missions.

An unmanned carrier with four probes can get you 800 or so science per probe with only the goo container and the barometer if you go to Jool's system for example: Get a capture from one of it's moons from the goo and then go into Jool to get goo and atmospheric readings.

On the road right now but when I get back home in a few days I'm downloading the new asteroid content.

Last time I played I put a Kerbal on Eve (i.e. His new home)

Thank you

I need to get a lot better at fuel efficiency and my landing needs some work. What that last shot with Fernand on the surface doesn't show is the ship came apart when the parachutes deployed.

Next mission I'll try is getting someone on Ike (Duna's moon) and a return mission.

I've put a probe down on Eve in water. Never a kerbal. I could using the same vehicle, but no chance they would come back.

I have landed a Kerbal or probe on every planet and most moons but I've never brought a Kerbal back from anywhere farther than Duna.

It's great...the physics tweaks and stability boosts are a real game changer.

I especially like the new parts for heavy lifters.

Mainsails aren't even in the top two engines in terms of raw power anymore.

Especially like the new, larger diameter engine that are Apollo-esque units: that is instead of a single large engine they are 4 smaller ones in one part.

Also a new beefed up SRB that's a strong analogue to the power of a shuttle SRB (the ones before were really underwhelming)

Haven't played the new version yet.

I got about as far as I could on KSP before I started modding it. I will never be a Scott Manley, but I did ok and setup up a colony on Duna and could return from it and Ike easily. Had a big Mun base as well. Landing on Eve was easy, I thought about sending disposable pieces to try to build something to get off Eve, but that just seemed like a nightmare. Visited some of the other planets that you can't land on.

Then I started getting into the mods like Kethane so you can mine/refuel all over the place and the biofuel stuff so you could grow your fuel. That honestly got me bored of the game for awhile, made it too much of a cheat.

Need to get back into playing with the new physics and parts.

Remotetech and maybe mechjeb are the only mods I use.

I've used mechjeb before but that's the only mod I've used. I stopped with the last update because I started to overuse it and got bored with the game.

ETA: Kerbal Alarm Clock is one I've been meaning to download but I keep forgetting.

KWRocketry was a good one to add just to give you more options of parts without making it feel like a cheater mod. It was distributed through the science trees too.

I had BioMass, Kethane, used Mechjeb a bit, and Ltech to give me more science options.

I prefer RemoteTech far more than Mechjeb.

Mech makes things far too easy.

RemoteTech makes it realistic.

If you want to run a science mission to Jool, you had better make sure you have a comm system that can handle it...

Yeah, I downloaded it because people said it was a must get mod. I found it boring and took the fun out of the game. I will probably stay away from remotetech for the same reason. BioMass did the same thing as well. Just growing your fuel everywhere...

I really like the Kethane mod though. Even though it is kinda cheap to get fuel away from Kerbal, you still have to get all the equipment that you need to make the fuel to the planet/moon. Then you also had to map the area to figure out where a good spot to mine for fuel was. So it was a challenge just to create the fuel.
