If so, please include trim, sticker price, final price, dealership, etc. If you bought Chevy, I'll take those numbers too.

Seriously want. Mostly due to new Ext cab door. I hate the way the old ones are when dealing with a kid.

I like them a lot. Never priced though.

Get it with the 6.2.
You'll have the fastest stock 1/2 ton on the planet.

I have a 2011 with a 6.2 and it's a beast. Do yourself a favor and get the GMC with the 6.2.

Don't let us down, MB:
GM isn’t shy about letting it be known that the 6.2 engine shares more than displacement with the V-8 from the C7 Corvette, counting the aluminum block, bore spacing, crank, and pistons among the common components. The intake, the exhaust, the fuel and ignition mapping, the lubrication, and other ancillary components have been optimized for truck duty, though, resulting in smooth, refined power delivery that doesn’t announce its arrival with an overly obnoxious exhaust note. Sure, there is the provocatively named “exhaust flapper,” a bypass valve that lets the V-8 speak up under heavy throttle and while performing feats of towing strength, but it otherwise has no audible giveaways to its 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of naturally aspirated grunt. Indeed, both trucks are equipped with active noise cancellation when ordered with the 6.2-liter engine, to reduce annoying rumble when cruising and at low engine speeds.

Think I'll get me a single cab shortbed in the very near future

What about the torque limiting nonsense?
Posted on 4/7/14 at 4:27 pm to AlxTgr
It makes them feel weird to drive IMO. There's an obvious disconnect between what your foot is telling the motor to do and what it is actually doing.

Basically you hit the gas and it doesn't go. Then, it gradually allows the power to be transmitted to the wheels until it gets to full power. Basically a cheap answer for a weak transmission(not able to withstand the new power levels engines put out)

Tuner is an easy fix for that...but your transmission will hate you.

Is that like traction control or the 4-6-8 stuff?
The most recent one I've owned is the 08 and it dosen't have it.

No, in a nutshell, it doesn't allow full power to get to your transmission until you get going, and also when you downshift. Timing is retarded
An 08 would have it IIRC

Its to help extend the life of the whole drivetrain and any new vehicle you buy has it. I was surprised that it doesnt bother me one bit because it fits my driving style very well. What frustrates me is the delay in firing up cylinders when i go to pass somebody. You have to convince it to start making power and with however much power they make that shouldnt happen.
