Anybody get their blades from them? Are the $6 & $9 per month blades worth the upgrade from the base $1 model? Also how many blades do they send every month? Do they send a new handle every month or just the blades?

Definitely don't do the 1 dollar, considering you have to pay to ship it.

Send 4 a month that I recall. They don't send you a razor every month, but they randomly send a new one every 6 months or so.

Yea I use Dollar Shave Club and I think its great. No matter which option you select they send you the handle and 4 blades the first month then just 4 blades every month after that unless you change options. Then they send you a new handle again. I do the $6 option and have had no complaints. I recommend it to anyone.

Blades were shite IMO. But for the money I guess its okay. I ended t after 2 months. Easy as pie to end your membership so I can't complain, try it and see for yourself

Is their shave butter any good? I'd like to try something new; I'm just bored using the same old white Gillette foam.

The razors suck. The shave butter is pretty legit.

I HIGHLY recommend Harry's though.

I just signed up about 10 minutes ago. Worth the try IMO since the fusion cartridges are so expensive.

Dorco is DSC's supplier and if you order directly through them, you can save even more money. Thats what i did.

Foam sucks. I do not like their butter. But I just do not like a non lathering product.

go to amazon and order shaving creams. Best when applied with old school shave brush. Proraso is a great brand. About 11 bucks a tube and you can use it for 3-6 months depending on how often you shave. Also Taylor of Olde bond street is the shite.

Their blades are just ok. I prefer the 6 blade $9 option. They are NOT as good as fusion blades but you aren't getting raped on price. You'll have to try them yourself to see. I tried to switch to the 4 blade and they suck.

Having a beard doesn't preclude shaving

No, but you shave a lot less and therefore go through less blades. Then you can buy the expensive ones. I go through maybe 1 fusion blade every 2-3 months.

If you search there are a ton of threads about this.

Every thread ends up having people that like DSC, people that didn't like it, people that buy DSC blades on Amazon for cheap, and people who use a safety razor.

I use it and have no real complaints. It's only a few bucks a month (I do the $6 blades).

This. Having a well groomed beard is more work actually.
