Former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has sworn off running again for elected office, but Americans have certainly heard that one before.

Speculation that Romney might run again has largely been stoked by the reunion he planned to host last month in Park City, Utah, for members of his 2012 campaign and debate teams and a string of recent public appearances.

He has appeared on TV news shows 12 times in the past six months. That’s essentially on pace with Michigan GOP Rep. Mike Rogers, who led all national politicians last year with 26 appearances over 12 months.

Thoughts?

Please don't. You've already proven yourself incompetent at campaigning twice. I mean, you lost to Barack Obama with a giftwrapped election and you lost to John McCain. You're done.

If anyone 'deserves' to be president it is Romney.

He was cheated out of the win six years ago by a combination of detestable lies and a conspiratorial media.

This nation would be miles ahead if he had been elected.

I doubt he runs again, but if he did, I would whole-heartedly support him.

There are numerous GOP that I would support just as ardently, but Romney earned the spot years ago, and everything he said has been proven right and every attack against him has been proven wrong.

This.

Romney's done.

Presidential candidates that get their party's nomination get only one shot and they're done.

I'd vote third party, just like I did last time he ran.

He still won my home state so, my 3rd party conscience vote didn't hurt him at all.

Those saying he is done continue to be blindly led off the cliff by the MSM.

Romney is making a resurgence because the facts now show he was correct in all of his assertions during the 2012 campaign. The media couldn't allow Obama to be defeated. Everyone that supported Obama for a mere minute now looks like a complete dick brained idiot.

I'd vote for Mitt in a second over anyone else that has never operated in the private sector and led fiscal responsible companies to great success.

Romney doesn't deserve a shot not because he wouldn't be a good president. He probably would be even though I think his positions are more fiscally liberal than I would prefer. The reason most people on the poliboard are for discarding him is due to what an awful campaigner he was. He really was clueless as to how he so effectively turned off votors at every turn, came across as weak against Obama (which is hard to do), came across as elitest, stuffy, and uncandid. Whether he really is any of these things matters little compared to the perception of him in the public's mind. His campaign did an awful job at attacking Obama on his weaknesses, building up Romney's strengths, assuring his base about his conservative credentials, and selling conservative principles to single women, young adults, and independents.

Being right is not enough, otherwise Ron Paul would have been president long ago. You have to have a great message and a talent at communicating that message and making it resonate with people while selling yourself as the right person to enact those ideas. Romney had some good ideas and keen insights, but he failed at communicating that message. He failed at selling himself as the man to turn that message into policy. He failed as a candidate. Hopefully, there is another who will succeed in those categories.

Republicans could definitely find worse candidates.

He wouldn't be my first choice but definitely not my last choice either.

Yep, I'm sure his LA vote for a 3rd party candidate that more closely represented what he values skewed the election.

Romney and Obama were both shite. But continue with the 2 party warfare, it's done so well for this country.
