Great movie. Probably the best stand alone Marvel movie since Iron Man. Chris Evans was born for the role of Captain America. The supporting cast, especially Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan, did an excellent job.

Be sure to stay till after the credits are over. There are two post-movie scenes you might want to watch. One during the credits, the other just after the credits end.

Final Grade: A

Awesome. I think I'm going at 10am sunday.

And thanks for the non-spoilery post. Though you may want to label the title if you want it to remain spoiler free, or if they're going to be freely discussed.

Thanks for the info! I will be making my attempt to see it tomorrow morning. The finacee wants to see it as well once she gets back in time, so I'll be seeing it twice

Just to get a guage...what did you think of the first CA?

I ask because I really didn't like the first one, but have heard that this one is really good. I don't know what to believe.

I enjoyed the first, but I like CA. I didn't think it was Marvel's best work, but it was ok. This one worked better, there was still a little CA cheese in there though.

I thought Captain America: The First Avenger was an average/decent movie. Tell you the truth, after Iron Man, I thought most of the stand alone Marvel films were pretty sub-par in comparison. Winter Soldier is the first one to come along that can be favorably compared to Iron Man.

Wouldn't be Cap without some cheese.

I think this is why I maybe didn't like the first one. I was not prepared for the cheese and there was quite a bit.

The guy is wrapped in an American flag and has wings on his head. You had to expect some cheese.

I found the first one to be much better on rewatch than I initially thought.

I mean my cheese meter tops out there...so Nazis with blue lasers broke the meter.

That's not part of the cheese factor, IMO. The blue laser stuff is related to a plot point still being carried through the MCU today.
