Jordan Allen not accepted into LSU grad school

Reports are that Jordan Allen graduated from LSU and wasn't accepted into a LSU grad school program. He would have been a valuable member of the DE rotation this season. When healthy he looks like our best DE. Why is this happening? Why is the grad school not on board with the needs of the LSU football team? Does action need to be taken by the AD? Can this situation be rectified or is it to late?

Danielle says hi
If you're serious, are you saying the grad school should alter their standards for football players?

Not really. Hunter took over for him last year and Rasco started every game on the other side.

I would imagine his GPA or test scores were too low.

Grades first dude. If he can't cut it academically, then move on down the road.

Its an academic institution not an athletic institution. If his grades aren't good enough that's on him.

why does he have to go to grad school to play football?
Could he not just enroll in classes to pursue a minor or another degree or something, if he still wants to play football?

Pretty much this. Story smells of troll wrapped in moron bacon.

Well, it's not like he's a bad student, he graduated after all. It sucks that he can't get into grad school at LSU, but I can't be mad at a guy trying to further his education.

He doesn't have to.

Sure he could, but what if his aspirations after college are something other than football?

Aren't you the least bit proud of the university for looking at academic merit over DE depth in 2014. There are limited spots in grad school classes and for the academic portion to stand up on its own two feet and make an independent decision is pretty cool.
Wish the kid would've gotten in, but glad he was evaluated like every other applicant

That's not the reason why he left

Of course there was the Matt Mauck dental school fiasco as well...Im proud IF any perosn is held to acadmeic standards, but NOT proud when psuedo academics hold it against an athlete...

I would hope that they are, and that he knows he's not playing in the NFL. Doesn't mean he can't enjoy another year of football, unless he's not enjoying it?
