Yes i was trying to think of his name as i recall he started an played a game an he was real bad.Guido Merkens.I think it may have been the pre season when Todd an the Billy Joe ugh twins were the Training camp arms but one could have been another Qb anyway i was listening to the Buddy D radio show an he aked the radio stations saints mini camp reporter who looked to be the best looking Qb out there,Then the reporter told buddy as for the best Qb out there was Mannings son who was a hih school Qb at Newman HS i think going into his jr year,as because of is dads history was allowed to throw in the 7 on 7 drills.

I would add Everett to the "didn't suck" list as well

The thing that made me not like Everett is that off season when we picked him up. The only reason Everett was signed is because we got outbid for the QB we really wanted by the Green Bay Packers. That QB was non other than Brett Favre. Man things would've been so much different if we would've landed Favre back then.

But some years later we picked the QB to take Favre down in the NFC Championship game, so it worked out for the better.

No Brooks was ok till he hurt his shoulder. One of the all time screw ups in saints history was Haslet not being able to see brooks was damaged goods a give Delhomme a real shot as being saints starter.

Guido was the most versatile athlete the saints ever had. He played QB, RB, WR, DB, P, PR and KR.

We're talking guys who actually were starting QBs, not Doug Nussmeier.

1. Heath Shuler
2. Danny Wuerffel
3. John Fourcade
4. Gary Cuozzo
5. Steve Walsh

I'm really happy there isn't much talk of Aaron Brooks so far.

Steve Walsh was really bad. The Billy Joes are like 1a and 1b.

I don't understand the Aaron Brooks hate... yeah there were a ton of things to dislike about the way he played the game, but there weren't many things more awesome prior to the arrival of Payton and Brees than that playoff win. That was just an unbelievable feeling to finally get that goddamned win.

Aaron brooks once through a ball thirty yards the wrong direction. He has to be there

For me it is because after a year, he just didn't give a shite. His laughing after a bad play drove me nuts.

That drove everyone nuts. However, on the field product, dude is in the Top 5 best, not worst. He ran a very productive offense and won a good number of games with an idiot for a head coach.

Aaron Brooks is also one of two Saints quarterbacks to win a playoff game.

Oh, and it's "threw." It might make us take your argument a little more seriously.
