Crazy on that video how the next offensive play Drews out lead blocking showing us how much of a big dog he is and making us wish we had him on the squad.

He owns that list.

Everybody else was a semi-legit NFL quarterback.
He was a poser.

Didn't he just play in part or a replacement year?

Fourcade was Hebert's backup in 1989.

The Saints went in funk late that year. Hebert got benched. Fourcade started the last 3 games and went 3-0.

Everybody went on the Fourcade bandwagon and Bobby held out. The Saints went into 1990 with Fourcade as starting QB and it was a TRAINWRECK.

Hebert remained a holdout. He and Finks hated each other and neither would give in. So Finks traded a 1, 2, and 3 for Steve Walsh and poured gasoline on the dumpster fire.

1990 was a lost season, which was a shame, because that might have been the best team on defense they ever had.

Fourcade's first two games in 1990: 21 for 57, 0 TDs, 6 INTs.

They made the playoffs in spite of him, and because the 13-1 49ers benched all their starters against the Saints week 15 and the Saints (led by Steve Walsh, who went 9 for 25 that day) barely beat them.

Fourcade had to play in the playoff game in Chicago and went 5 for 18 with 0 TDs and 2 INTs.

frick John Fourcade.

Seriously. frick Fourcade.

Wade Wilson should not be on the list. He was the scapegoat for a lost season

WadeWilson, in New Orleans, was terrible. He absolutely belongs on the list.

He was a pretty good QB in Minnesota though.

OK lay off Guido...he could play any place any time any where

I agree. Merkins wasn't a great QB. However, he was a versatile athlete. He punted when Russell Erxleben was hurt in the reg. season finale vs the Rams w/ a wild card berth on the line. He held the ball for FGs & XPs. He also was on the kickoff & punt coverage teams. I think he also played a bit at WR.

How to know how bad a NFL franchise has been without looking at W-L record?

When naming top 5 best (even top 3 in Saints case) quarterbacks in franchise history is much easier than naming top 5 worst quarterbacks in franchise history.

I don't understand the premise. Are you saying the Saints are bad because it's easy to name their 3 best quarterbacks?

You can look at the Cowboys and say "Staubach, Aikman, Meredith, Romo, White" without thinking very hard.

Dave Wilson doesn't belong on that list.

Just off the top of my head Bobby Scott, Ed Burns, Mark Brunell, Edd Hargett, Billy Joe Hobert, Bobby Douglass, and Billy Joe Tolliver were all worse.

everyone here knows my extreme dislike for Aaron Brooks, but even I could never put him in this list.

1) either Billy Joe
2) whichever one you didn't choose in 1
3) Kerry Collins
4) Weurffel
5) Shuler
