Which player/situation embodies "the loneliest man in the world" the most?

-Hockey player who gets a penalty and his team gives up the game-winning goal on PK
-Kolten Wong situation (getting picked off at first to end the game)
-Pitcher walking(or even worse, balking) in the winning run
-DB who gets called for PI in the endzone and the other team scores the game-winning touchdown on the next play
-An own goal in any sport
The list is immense, feel free to add your own

Giving up a legit penalty kick in soccer at a crucial moment is about as lonely as it gets, IMO.

And there's really no debate. Maybe foul ball Cub's fan boy comes close. But not an athlete obviously.
