any of y'all want to make a Saturday trip out there? I haven't been to any of the Austin breweries and have been thinking of making a day of it one Saturday soon

The Jester King / Mikkeller stout collaborations were all pretty awesome, I'll give them that much.

Hopefully it comes through Twelve Percent and not through JK's distribution channel.

I know it ruins the joke, but...fwiw, I've never seen JK charge more than $16/bottle.

People pay $35 for Cantillon and Chocolate Rain. I don't see why $16 for a barrel aged beer that spent 3-6 months in the barrel is that high.

Hope thats a joke, I just lost interest.

I'm honestly about done with the collaboration stuff. The fact is most of them end up sucking badly. For every gem there are dozens of turds.

I dont even buy the CCB collabs any more. Outside of Life is Like and possibly Southern Slice they collectively have sucked over the past year. Gentlemens Club, Jurata, Black Ash, Illuminating the Path and that horseshite they brewed with New Belgium all sucked.

Boxers Revenge cost me $18. Others were in the $20+ range.

ETA: in Montgomery, AL. Only store in town kinda had a monopoly on the market, however.

I paid $22 for Black Metal at a local shop here in Tampa when JK first landed. Most run anywhere from $17-20 each and we dont really get the most desirable brews.

I've only bought JK at Spec's... they were never that expensive.
