I had no idea. Doing something right..

Sales at the Atlanta-based chain passed $5 billion, compared with KFC's $4.2 billion, reports Bloomberg Businessweek.
Chick-fil-A also beat The Colonel in chicken sales in 2012, according to the annual QSR magazine sales rankings released in 2013. This year it continued to widen its lead over KFC, although KFC is still much bigger globally. Chick-fil-A has less than half the amount of locations as KFC (1,775 U.S. stores to KFC's 4,491) and its restaurants are not open on Sunday due to religious reasons.

I've gone to CFA recently. I was very impressed with the whole operation.
From the food to the employees to the design of the buildings.

In Columbus, Ohio there are only a few Chick-Fil-As.
I've never even been to one because they are so far out of the way.

The difference is customer service. Chik-fil-a's employees come across as more competent, better trained, happier, more helpful, ect than just about any other chain. As a result, their service is faster and more accurate than almost any other fast food, and unlike all other chains, that level of exemplary service does not vary from location to location. In all other chains, some are good, some are great, and some are bad with their food quality and service, but Chik-fil-a is a model of consistency. Great, timely service and tasty food at every location every time, except on Sundays
FYI, I don't eat there very often because my SO is allergic to peanuts (they fry everything in peanut oil), and all of their locations in BR are absolutely swamped with business at all times, far from where I live, or are situated on streets that are massive traffic clusterf&%ks 99% of the time.

Get the original spicy chicken sandwich.
Apply coleslaw.

Every CFA I have been to during lunch has been slammed yet managed it quite well. It's no wonder they are making money. The fact is that they are the best fastfood restaurant. /end thread

Can't eat C-F-A, can't go to NOLA, this chick better be a legit OT 9 because she is dragging you down.

Peanut oil does not always trigger allergic reactions. Has she been tested for peanut oil?

The FDA exempts highly refined peanut oil from being labeled as an allergen. Studies show that most individuals with peanut allergy can safely eat peanut oil (but not cold-pressed, expelled or extruded peanut oil – sometimes represented as gourmet oils). If you are allergic to peanuts, ask your doctor whether or not you should avoid peanut oil.

I seriously would have thought that Popeyes was the top chicken chain. I wonder how Popeyes stacks up with those two.
BTW, I had a Popeyes shrimp plate last Friday (lent), and it was aweful! They definitely changed how they cook the shrimp since Al used to own the franchise. They used the same batter as the chicken. Way too thick and crunchy for shrimp.

Popeyes only has about 2k stores worldwide and normally referred to as #2 in volume behind KFC. I wouldn't put CFA in their category as they aren't frying bone in chicken nor do they have the plate lunch type sides.
Al Copeland hasn't had popeyes since '93 the shrimp are freezer to fryer so it's not the same batter as the chicken

Yep It means I also have to avoid Dempsey's when I'm with her
And yes, she is a 9+. She also cooks really well, so that helps too.

Dang, considering that the new place is within walking distance of my job, it's very tempting. I wish I could do it, but I have an exam at 7:00am Friday

Chik-Fil-A is pretty solid. We just started getting them in the South SF Bay. They make a good spicy chicken sandwich, the waffle fries are awesome, and the service is always top-notch. Can I support gay marriage and eat Chik-Fil-A? aw, frick it...Imma do it.
