Where is the Republican leadership?

Why aren’t they challenging this? Fighting it? Trying to combat the lies? They are letting Obama and the media create the narrative.

You know damn well if for example this were a Republican administration having a press conference touting the benefits of a policy they passed, for example tax cuts, that the democrats would be having a press conference of their own, getting infront of every camera and microphone they have, to discredit the Republican claims. Harry Reid would be calling the Republicans liars, Nancy Pelosi would trot out some human prop like kids and use them as why it is bad policy, Chuck Schumer would be screaming about how much of an outrage this is, etc, and then the media fact checkers would be working round the clock overtime to dig anything up that could discredit the narrative.

Republicans need to do more than just prepared statements released by their public relations spokespeople. That’s not going to cut it, thats like trying to put out a fire by peeing on it.

The have to publicize the numbers right? As in how many people actually used the exchange, that's public information?

It will come out.

True but the Republicans need to get out in front here, you know the media will do the bidding of the administration even when data comes out that discredits the 7 million number.

These weak prepared statements from spokespeople aren't going to cut it

Are you saying you think these numbers are real?

Anyone that said "Oh look they're lying because I said so!" without any data to back it up would be strung out to dry by the media. It's just the way it is.

I'm sure Ted Cruz will be along shortly with something to say about it, but he needs some data to back it up. The RAND survey seems like a good starting point.

You know if the democrats were challenging something with no proof the media would go along with it

I'm with you on this, goldennugget. Obama is doing a routine that would make Baghdad Bob proud, but the media is reporting it as fact.

Even if I were an Obama supporter, I would believe that the failure of Obamacare could not be swept under the rug forever, but it is amazing to me that nobody is drilling down on the numbers and reporting the truth.

I honestly think the Obama victory dance will be short-lived, but the media has his a new all-time low regarding their professional responsibilities.

The data behind the numbers aren't out yet. They will be, and Obama will reap what he is sowing.

Nevermind, the media will move on to Miley Cryus and Justin Bieber's love child by tomorrow

Get out in front of what? You seem very butt hurt that they hit the 7 million number of sign-ups.

Let's be honest. John Boehner and Mitch McConnell could switch sides tomorrow, and as long as the direct deposits kept coming they would probably be okay with it.

THey need to do studies and have the data to back it up first. Let Obama and Co. Obfuscate and look foolish first

It really doesn't matter if people sign up or not..the failure of Obamacare is the high costs and shitty coverage. People are MANDATED to buy insurance or pay a fine. It's pretty telling that they could barely reach 7 million, even if they did reach that number.

Just because someone gets covered doesn't mean they'll like the coverage they get or the cost of it. People tout this as some huge win for the administration, but it isn't.

they probably technically hit the number but its not like 7M people suddenly are insured.

Personally my opinion is you pick your battle. You let obama have his day in the sun, and then you hitem up later calling him a liar. I think that is much more effective strategy.

when you correct everything someone says, you just look like an a-hole. even if you are right.
