I figured you guys could answer these questions pretty spot on.

And how common is it that hunters use pits?

40 year old from Alabama said he has hunted his entire life and has been around hunters his entire life and has never once heard of a hunter using a pit bull to hunt

I'm pretty sure an Amstaff is credited for one of the largest drug busts in history.

Not surprised. Based on where they live and the type of people who own them, there's a good chance that most of them know what drugs smell like.

Very common to see them used as catch dogs on wild hog hunts.

I've been around hunting and hunters all my life and I've never seen a moose, grizzly, elk, antelope, elephant, tiger, etc in the wild yet I know they exist in the wild.

Just because he isn't aware of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I use mine as a duck dog, he LOVES it. Most disciplined and energetic dog I've ever had.

For retrieving, pointing, and tracking, there are better options out there.

But I have heard they are good hog dogs. They are tough as nails.

I'm probably one of the biggest pit critics out there too.
