I'm looking at purchasing a Tokina 11-16 for my Nikon. I've got pretty much all the other ranges covered up to 200mm, and want something for landscapes etc.
Any of your lenses that you really enjoy?

I have this and really like it. I am also a fan of my 50 mm prime.

I've got the 50mm and 35mm 1.8, they are both great lenses

that is a nice photo but what exactly did the lens do to effect the photo?

Some prime lenses in the $500 range, others up to $2k, then they get expensive with the big ones that are used in sporting events, etc...

I need to learn how to use my camera better. I have a D60 with the 18-55 and the 55-200mm Nikors.

I have the same lenses except I have a Canon T2i. I read a book a couple of years ago to try and understand the settings a little better instead of using the automatic mode.
I recently dicovered that the auto zoom is a lot quicker to focus when you look through the viewfinder and not the screen.

This. Keep your camera in manual and force yourself to make the adjustments. You'll be so much better for it.

.....well i still use auto most the time but occassionly i use the portrait mode for close ups and the sport setting for action shots

Try Aperture Priority mode. Forces you to learn how to adjust your DOF to compose your photos and all the other settings auto select for you to get a (supposedly) proper exposure.

Did the price come down? I have had mine 2-3 years and I thought I paid ~$650 for it...

Get you a tilt-shift lens. I don't have one but they do create some unique photos. Especially time-lapse stuff. Best lens I have used is the Canon 100-400L.
