I've never been to jeanerette before but man some of the areas are real nice. The atmosphere and the old plantation style homes are beautiful. The big mossy oak trees are everywhere. Very surprised.

Got a ticket the day I moved to school (1st semester freshman) last august for doing 73 in a 65. Not saying I wasn't speeding but the cop was a dick about it. Asked me if I was moving to school and if I was just starting, told him yes then he laughed and said I could come back down on whatever date to pay it. Pissed me off.

I have kinfolk from jeanerette...granted, the plantation homes along the bayou are nice, but in general, the town is a shithole...

let's just say that the best jobs ever to be had there were at an underwear factory and it closed down years ago...that may put things into perspective...

Haha. Get a half block of main street and away from the 20 beautiful houses and it is the crappiest most ghetto place you will ever see. I live 10 minutes away.
