Preferably that I can use on a Mac. Doesn't have to be free, but has to be something I can launch a site with quickly. Something simple.

The consensus in these threads always seems to be Wix and Wordpress.

You might check out Weebly, as well.

None of these answers are HTML editors/IDEs. Are you looking for a service or an editor?

Editor. I want to put the site on a godaddy or something. Done it before but figured there are better tools now.

Oh ok. Then go with Sublime Text 3. Nothing else compares at the moment. Although githubs Atom editor looks promising.

Thanks. Godaddy is publishing a rudimentary site on my domain right now.

For an editor? Coda. Simple, intuitive, cuts out a lot of the garbage. FTP client built-in. One-stop shop for your web development needs.

Yeah I used coda before sublime. Much rather sublime and you don't have to pay $100

I had a free license to Coda (work stuff....wasn't technically free....I just didn't have to pay for it). Started using it a few years ago. Have never had a reason to switch.
