Off bluebonnet south of Burbank, essentially the subdivision that is directly behind the soccer fields

Lake is in the subdivision?

They have a ton of ponds that surround the neighboorhood
Many houses back right up to the ponds/lakes

Get ready to have the cops called on you if you're fishing in spring lake & not a resident.

Don't want that to happen. Just looking for a place in Baton Rouge to catch a few bass. Any ideas?

The bayous & canals that drain BR hold fish. But they will be pretty high bc of all this rain. Unfortunately the truth is that any place open to the public in the city typically is fished out. The neighborhood ponds are not open to the public and if they were they would quickly suffer the same fate. Waddell should have some fish as it is catch/release only and is well policed. There are *some* fish in university lakes if you try, as well.

Come on by, they won't come after you
Posted on 3/29/14 at 11:56 pm to djangochained
Damn, not my experience there at all. If they don't come after people and this info is available online, you'd better get while the gettins good. Good luck fellas.

Residents only and policed heavily, just put a new sign up.

I can't even catch a bream in a cricket there
Posted on 3/30/14 at 8:18 am to Tchefuncte Tiger
Water quality sucks

Do they still have some tagged rainbow trout in those ponds?
