Do you guys ever feel bad for underclassmen who lose in the tournament and decide to leave for the NBA? I can never feel bad for them because if they really wanted the ring they could come back to try again unlike the seniors.

I feel bad for those who wasted a year playing for free when they were already good enough to play at the next level.

The system is broken when you have guys who aren't even starters leaving early for the NBA

I'd rather make $$$, but that's me.

Although, I do like guys that stay (Patric Young)

I would love for all of them to stay 4 years, but I am never going to get mad at a kid wanting to go get paid.

I agree. Lavine from UCLA should not be leaving.

You mean the kid that will probably go in the 1st round or early 2nd round? Why should he stay?

Because he's not even a good college basketball player yet.

Plus he is getting during it.

1 year of development could make him a lottery pick. If he wants millions more, that would be something to consider.

Lavine is going top 20 in the draft. Seen him as early as 10th overall. Freak athlete, 19 years old, great size. And still growing. He grew 5inches in the last 3 years.

Similar to Archie Goodwin from UK last year. And Ive seen comparisons to Russell Westbrook.

Waiters was never a starter and he's doing pretty damn well.

And as others have said NBA development>>>>>>>>NCAAB development.

There's no problem with wanting that. It's just I don't want to see them crying their eyes out knowing that they can come back.

IMO you really run the risk of never catching on the NBA if you aren't a first round pick. The contracts are guaranteed so the teams are already committed financially so they try to develop the player even if they seem like they might be a bust.

If you go in the second you probably won't even make a team.

I would say you shouldn't leave early unless you are a lock to be chosen close to the lottery or you run the risk of falling out of the first round staying longer.

The difference between like the 9th pick and the 22nd pick isn't much at all.
