What moves do you expect the Pelicans to make in the off-season?

Get rid of EG somehow

Get a vet SG/SF that can 3+D in return or in FA

Sign a center

Steimsma/Aminu/Roberts/Smiht probably gone

How much cap space do they have? Enough to sign a decent center?

We won't have much in the way of cap space.

Top priority should be to sign AD to a long term extension.

We will be able to sign a C in the 5 million per year range with the mid level exception. Should be enough to get at least someone average.

A low post player who can play some D and shoot.
Ajica can cover the stodgy centers fine.

If we move Gordon we need to get a SF out of the deal

If the cap jumps to $63 million as it's being projected, they'll have about $7.5 million. That might be enough to add a Gortat. If not, the 3 and D SF FA market is decent so they should go after someone like Ariza with the MLE, trade Gordon for an expiring like Tyson Chandler and then target Asik as a FA the following offseason.

I'd be happy with him simply off the books next year. Don't think it's gonna happen though.

it would be shocking if they are able to move EG for anything. What small chance existed, was probably stamped out with him missing the last 2 weeks because of knee issues.

I don't think that's necessarily the case. He's been more durable this year than anyone predicted.

Again it's not to the same knee and it's a relatively minor issue.

No reason from him to rush back
