US Dept. of Education says that the new bleachers, paid for by parent fundraising, are better than the girls' softball bleachers, so they have to go.

US dept of Ed has nothing better else to do now?

Give the dept 4 or 5 days, they'll be in a better mood and realize how stupid they're acting.
Seriously this is fricking stupid.

maybe the parents of the softball team should care more

Stupid question, but why do they need to have separate fields? Couldn't the baseball team & the softball team use the same field/bleachers?

softball field is much smaller

Why is the Dept education trying to tell baseball parents how to spend their money?

Using their "equality" logic, the girls' ball is bigger than the boys ball, so softball should be discontinued.

I'm unclear on why they're trying to regulate donations.

Ah, ok. I never played softball, but it seems like our high school baseball and softball teams used the same field, just marked it differently. Maybe I'm wrong, I just don't remember our school having the room for two fields.

This is my hometown. Interesting, I should go investigate next time I'm there.
Stupid policy though, especially if the money was raised by the parents and not the school itself.

Maybe the Feds need to match the donation and build equal units for the girls.
Or they could stfu and leave these people alone.

I would like to donate to a fund that would actullay pay to make the softball facilities worse.

They should investigate which parent complained and stone her/him.
I hope this gets national attention.
