They are saying they weren't informed of the assembly to begin with.
That being said, what made these kids/parents think a catholic school wasn't going to teach the Church Doctrine?

She's a nun speaking at a Catholic school. Those kids either need to STFU, or transfer to a public school where they will NEVER again have to worry about having to listen to a nun speak at an assembly.

There's a difference here somewhere. Hard to put my finger on it.

It's as if they refuse to even allow any group to hold an opinion counter to theirs.
That being said, what made these kids/parents think a catholic school wasn't going to teach the Church Doctrine?
And they call this promoting "tolerance". I have no fricking idea what dictionary they own.

But, that said. Let's be honest. The entire fricking ghetto supports Obama and if he lived in their neighborhood, he'd be pretty much lucky if they didn't kill him for being so damned "white".

I didn't go to a Catholic school, but for you that did, what percentage of students that attended weren't even practicing Catholics or Catholic at all? Also how much of the Church doctrine was taught, or Mass attended, or schooling directly related to the church? Thanks
sorry for the possible derail

I'd say normally there's a large percentage of "nominal" Catholics, a small percentage of Protestants/non-Catholics who fled from the public schools, and then ~35% that are really committed Catholics. This will, of course, differ depending on level of the school, location, etc.
All Catholic schools require theology classes, though the orthodoxy of those classes is variable.

Mass attended
Most Catholic schools will offer daily Mass (attended by few) and a number of Masses on "important" days (holy days of obligation, the patronal feast day, Ash Wednesday, etc).

Apparently discipline has taken some time off at that school. Friends that went to Catholic schools when I was growing up wouldn't have dreeeeamed of going off about something a nun said in a speech.

I'm still friends with a Muslim Pakistani guy who was a year ahead of me at my catholic high school. He wasn't the only one. I know some Jews and atheists from school as well.
Majority of the students were Catholic, but most probably not devout.
