Taking my son on a turkey trip next weekend

He's been going berserk to kill a turkey for a few years and our place doesn't have many birds. I've killed 2 in 8 years there.

Heading out next weekend to the Southern Sportsman Lodge a bit west of Montgomery to see if we can get on a nice bird or two. Getting excited for the trip!

Awesome. Me and my pop are headed to hunt turkeys mid-April. Getting older now and appreciate the time we have together.

Also had an excuse to buy some badass turkey broad heads without the wife yelling at me.

I want to try killing one with a bow one day but haven't tried it yet.

This is the broadhead I'll be using. I bought the kit with two arrows and two broadheads ready to go. Hopefully I can get a gobbler with this one.

That the truth! I sure miss getting after them birds with my Dad. Hopefully he will give me a hand from on high tomorrow morning and send one my way.
