Was sitting at lunch at work with coworkers while CNN was on. One made the comment about cnn fixating on flight 370 while Putin is taking over a country. Another commented on how he could do this with such a weak president.

What is her suggestion? Be conservative. Hate Obama if you must. But certainly NOBODY wants American "boots on the ground" in the Ukraine? Is there a scenario possible where a US soldier fires on a Russian soldier that could not escalate to.....? Measures I don't even want to consider?

Who possibly gives enough of a f#%k about the Ukraine and Crimea to get into a war or confrontation of any kind with Russia.

I know this board is very right leaning. I just can't see anyone that far right. So tell me opinions, call me a puss, call Obama a Kenyan. Go!!

I would imagine there are several. I wanted fresh responses. Maybe catch a right-winger cranky and before his coffee.

Don't you know that all right wingers are always cranky? Coffee only makes them hyper and more unreasonable.
Pray that they discover green tea and Quinoa flour biscuits so they can be as mellow as you are.

People can't think rational when it comes to the glaring hate for Obama.
I know several people who are looking at Putin as some kind of hero because he is "supposedly" beating Obama.

Obama is doing exactly what I would want he or any other president to do. Stay the fck out of that mess.

Oh, blow it out your arse. The press and liberals have been carrying his water for years, trying to limit anything that exposes his glaring weaknesses.

They play the race card at every turn, and it appears you aren't any different. The job of the press is to report and examine, they've done neither the last 5 years.

What "mess" exactly?
Do you see political events on other countries as totally segregated from the US and US interests?
I'm interested in our view of global politics.

If talking about nbc sure. But you have foxnews for conservative. If there is a group large enough to pull ratings there is a brand of media to pander to them.

What is a STRONG Obama response? Nukes? Invade Russia?

Just impose sanctions and let this shite sort itself out. And thank god we don't give a shite about the Ukraine.

This.
I've long grown tired of playing world cop. I'm sorry if some view this fiasco as some kind of event to make Putin look great. He is the same asshat he has always been.

Let Europe go waste some of their money if they feel something needs to be done. We are broke as a country and can't go playing big boy on the block right now when we really have no reason to.

No argument there, but that is a separate issue. Just because someone points out how Obama is a poor leader doesn't mean they love Putin.

So you are basically saying that nothing outside of the US borders has any impact on the US and that we should ignore such things?
Is that it?

Nope. I didn't say that. This particular issue with Russia playing slap fight with Ukraine is my only point right now.
What did I say to bother you?

And before anyone gets their panties too far up their arse, I think Obama is a damn shitty leader.

Do you think that Obama's leadership style has anything to do with the Ukraine situation?
What about the South China Sea? Does the US have an interest there?

Maybe, but I doubt it. There have always been bullshite events like this going on around the world and I doubt the "style" of the man in the whitehouse would have changed alot of the outcomes.

For you second point about looking for the airplane, I don't even know how to respond to a question like this. Pretty stupid.

Carry on. I'm done playing question and answer. And I see the resident redneck has invaded the thread with his well thought out thoughtful responses above.
Have a good day.

You would need to get up and start this thread several hours prior to 9:32am to accomplish this goal, fwiw.

Ok. I'll take it slow for you. I was talking about the aggressive moves that China has been taking in the South China Sea not some damn airplane.
What is your stance on the current China/Japan dust up?

I am really interested in your world view and your knowledge of what is happening outside of neighborhood.

Couple dead Americans. Already have nearby assets. We are spending money there anyway. This is an opportunity for actual use of some assets for a decent reason. Also practice for these personnel. Some real world practice in search and recovery in the most extreme conditions.
