I was at practice today doing film for work and when it came time for the goal line drill (right after big cat) both Jennings and Harris lined up about two yards out and scored on the DBs. Jennings put a lick on Jalen Collins that nearly put him on his arse.....

I'm not sure how to feel. I mean I like that the QBs are physical but..

I mean it's not like Collins will start anyways.

So our QBs were running the ball during full contact goal line drills? Smart... very smart.

Yea it was a bit surprising. Normally only WRs and RBs compete on the offensive side. I guess the QBs had the chest.

Not a lot of completed passes to report on.

How long until we start running the veer as our base offense?

I've been to each practice so far and to me Harris has shown signs of being the guy. He's gotta huge arm, he's accurate, and he seems to really listen to Coach Cam well. Jennings doesn't seem like a guy who has a whole year under his belt.

I still believe that its going to be AJ under center and that we will be fine. From the small amount of practice clips I've seen though I have to say that BH looks good. He looks to have a big arm with a very nice release. However things shake out the future looks bright.

shite we know they can run a 1 yard qb sneak. But can they complete a 10 yd post route?

I agree AJ is the guy who starts but only because of his knowledge. Physically Harris is the man. AJ has loads of problems with accuracy, particularly on the deep ball. This offense is going to be power set and read option heavy IMO

So they can run it in from two yards out but can't complete a slant with no defenders on the field. I am reassured now

So lets not practice goal line. We've never been nationally embarrassed due to a goal line situation

I remember hearing some very positive things regarding AJ's intelligence, work ethic, being a student of the game etc.
Does BH share these characteristics? I've wondered about this because I seriously have no idea. What about Rettig as far as these sorta things are concerned?
