-Big state school vs. little brother school
-Only separated by about 75 miles
-Never play each other in basketball (blame who you like)
-Little school gets their once in a lifetime chance at big school in the Big Dance and cuts their heart out.

I am not an Ohio State fan by any means, but it must SUCK to be them mainly due to who they lost to. Those "THE Ohio State University" fans will NEVER hear the end of this from Dayton.

Dayton is a private school. It would be like losing to Tulane.

It's days like this that make me love March Madness...Every Buckeye fan with Dayton fan relatives, has probably turned off their phone or thrown it in a body of water by now

Dayton...Tulane.

Lol. Obviously you've not been to the fine city of Dayton or the institution of higher learning which bears its name.

BTW, I think this story-line seeding is utter crap and a terrible gimmick. Nebraska vs Creighton in round 2, Pitino vs prototype, osu vs dayton, etc. The committee is getting too cute, imo.

LSU would have to make the NCAA's for that to happen

Most rational Ohio State fans predicted or at least thought it was a toss up.

Our offense is truly pitiful this year.

There is no direct comparison, but it would be similar to Tulane or ULL.

Tulane is private but the history between LSU/Tulane does not exist with OSU/Dayton. You'd have to exclude football from the picture all together, but obviously it's the state's big dog and another very good team who probably dislikes the big dog.

I would say OSU/Cincinnati would be the LSU/ULL comparison, but I'll yield to the many Ohio posters.

IMO LSU=Ohio State in their respective states, but no one comes close to rivaling LSU as some of the many Ohio schools do...Cinci/Xavier/Dayton etc. >ULL/Tulane/ULM/La. Tech

If Ohio State played every podunk college team in Ohio, they could fill OOC schedule into the 2020s.

Dayton, great win... now back to the kids table.

BTW, I'm glad to see the Craft years end. Great leader and defender and rah rah rah, but the kid cannot run an offense. No one respects his outside shot. And he tightens up in big games. (the driving layup and the almost game winner were both nice, though)

Ross and Thompson both have talent but are aloof in different ways. Smith is inefficient against good teams. Scott is a great defender but suspect on offense. Etc.

I knew this team didn't have the juice to make a run. Frankly, the weak ooc schedule made them look better than they were. B10 schedule brought them back to reality. Dayton put them to sleep.

I assume you're trolling since this is a terrible comparison. Ohio State is a consistent tourney team and had been to the Elite 8 the last 2 years (LSU isn't very good) The only way its similar is a smaller state school beating a bigger state school.

I'd like to see anyone else in the country run that offense. And he doesn't tighten up in big games as much as you're implying. Does he have some bad moments? Of course, but he more than makes up for them.
