if I knew what "eow" stood for, I would be more of a help to you

I disagree. If I was 45 and divorced I'd be chasing tail in the Warehouse District and around the Quarter.

Mid-City near City Park around Esplanade Blvd. but stay above Broad (more affordable) or Uptown (less afordable).

that's what I've heard. More family life uptown whereas the warehouse district has a lot of single people...

Yep. Tons of runners in the WHD and he can walk to work. A two bedroom place is going to run at least $1500/month to rent or $250k+ to buy, though.

can anybody recommend a building? know someone that lives there, etc. est. rent, etc

Warehouse district is definitely an option but realize that it is an urban environment and you probably need to pay to park. Other than that, most of Uptown/Mid City would be fine.

then just rent an apt on st. Charles

When I lived in the Warehouse District, there was an older guy (40s to early 50s at worst) in our small warehouse apartment building who had the penthouse apartment and he glammed up the roof deck access he had.
It was pretty awesome, and I saw him bring women up there all the time. Of course, he wasn't a bad looking dude either and was in banking I think.

That's a hard situation because you need a place big enough for the kids to stay, but that could lead to you getting tied down in a "suburban" area even though you'll be solo 80% of the time.

That place goes from legit to wildly uncomfortable once you pass 27 and/or are engaged.
If a night starts getting off the rails like the old days, we'll end up there.

That could suck because people frick in the bushes all the time.
Trust me
