Thomas' base salaries are $2.1 million for 2015 and $2.2 million for 2016. There's no guaranteed money for Thomas in 2015 and 2016. Thomas has a $50,000 workout bonus in 2015 and 2016 and a $100,000 roster bonus in 2016.
Saves 1.33mil this year, but '15 and '16 are not guaranteed. Could possibly his last year here if he declines in production as the season goes on.

So he'd cost $830k in dead money to cut after next season, so he'd likely restructure again.
It's not a bad deal when you think about it for what he brings to the table.
