I bought a pair of insulated wolverines a couple months ago and they have been great for the winter. I'm wondering will they make my feet to hot in the summer and what's the best boot to keep feet cool in summer?

Slip-on's get my vote. I've got some Double-H's right now, but I wore Ariats for the past 4 years or so.

You seriously wondering if insulated work books will be hot in the summer? All work boots will be hot in the summer much less insulated ones. Just get you a pair of Justin, Georgia, or Twisted x and a good pair of breathable socks that wick away moisture.

Why does everyone keep saying "get you..."? Is it because using poor grammar makes your opinion more valid in a work boot thread?

Do you live in the tundra?

If not why the hell did you buy insulated boots. Wools socks are good enough for me even in -10 to -20 degree weather.

Redwings with a soft nonskid bottom,or Wolverines of the same type.Heck, you should know what you need, going to be climbing ladders and walking on steel all day. You need something light with comfort and durability. Redwings and Wolverines are the best.Of course with a steel toe.

Caterpillar Men's Revolver Pull-on Soft Toe boot. Simple. rubber-soled. The heel is present but particularly pronounced. I prefer the round-toe look to square or points, but you may like something else better. For $80, they're hard to beat. Mine held up pretty well over the years. I think I got about 4 years out of one pair. They look decent enough with blue jeans, too, if you're into that sort of thing.

ETA: I suggested soft-toe over steel toe because OP didn't ask for steel toe; usually people specify when they need them. I really like CAT boots, though. They make the same exact ones in steel-toe, too. And for right about the same price.

He said he was a tankerman. Usually tankerman have to wear steel toes bc they are in and out of all the plants. It's pretty much standard unless he works for some rinky dink boat company that doesn't provide an allowance for work boots. Most good ones do but there are a few that won't.
