I witnessed OCD in action last night

I was at McDonald's getting a quick bite and this chick had 2 drinks. She spent 10 minutes wiping them down, careful to not miss a spot.
Next she got her food and asked for 2 extra paper bags. The employee tried to give her a large plastic bag and she flips out. They give her the 2 bags and she takes all of her food out and puts it on the table. Then carefully arranges it in 4 bags. This process took about 15 minutes. When she was happy she left.
This has to be a miserable existence.

I want to rub half of facebook's face in this. THIS is OCD. You being organized does not make you OCD.

I used to say it was the funniest affliction until I worked with a guy that had it. It's terrible if it gets past a certain point. He could only eat meals purchased at a particular grocery store at a certain time. If he missed that time....don't eat for days.

but i hate it when my TV volume isn't on an even number.
btw...i had an aunt with MS who developed severe OCD before she passed. everything she did had to be in 6's. when she left a room she had to turn the lights off/on 6 times....if she adjusted a picture on a desk she had to move it back and forth 6 times. literally whatever she did had to be repeated 6 times. if she felt like she messed up she would start all over again. it was sad.

I often wonder what these folks with these "tendencies" did 100 years ago. Or did modern society breed this malady.
For instance, lets say you were an American Indian, how did or would OCD behavior manifest itself in your daily life?
Serious question.

Chick filet's chicken biscuit is the best thing for breakfast from a fast food place.

I have this fight with my wife all the time. I am very organized and she is a complete and utter slob. She calls me OCD because of it. She can't seem to understand that putting something where it belongs is easier than spending 30 minutes looking for it later. It has nothing to do with OCD and everything to do with laziness.

I have diagnosed OCD but I don't have a number thing or even an organized thing. OCD comes in many forms.
