When should you go to court for a traffic ticket?

Cops are being assholes around here lately. Second in two weeks. One was for seatbelt (seriously? 
)....wasn't a moving violation so I just paid it.
This last one I got was for speeding 40 in a 25. First ever tickets. Not sure if I just want to fork over $200 for going 40 MPH.

no that law is stupid anyways....if i wreck and kill myself thats my own problem..speeding is different because someone can be affected.

15 over is a good bit over the limit. 25 is usually residential, so you were going 40 in a residential area.

About the only good reason to go to court, is if there is more than 1 ticket from the same stop, in those cases, the DA might throw out some of the lesser ones. Other than that, you aint gonna win in traffic court, in my opinion.
Oh, and I have had 12 tickets in the past few months for petty crap, none were even moving violations,just some small equipment violations on a dump truck that I have.I mean, like wrong fire extinguisher and stuff like that, marker lights that aren't working ( even though the stops were in Daytime) a Torn Tarp, etc.
Have only have had to pay 4 of the tickets, but it has been over 600 bucks.

If you wreck and become a dead human projectile that goes crashing into another vehicle causing them to wreck I'd say it's more than just your problem.
Also who eventually ends up paying for the massive medical bills when you are now a vegetable in a hospital bed if you someone survive being a human missile?
