Good thing GM paid all of that money back to taxpayers!

I'd hate to thiink what kind of a loss the taxpayers would have taken because of this.
Oh, wait...we didn't get it all back (but, boy, those unions sure came out sweet).

Do you think Obama would have done anything different with respect to the GM bailout if he was aware of this issue? No, his goal was to protect the UAW. He did not care what risks the government was going to take.
That being said, how could the head of GM's global product development organization not be aware of an issue that GM was aware of since 2001, and that GM had addresses with dealer service bulletins in 2005? It doesn't pass the smell test.

Good thing the bankruptcy protects GM from any damages for instances prior to its filing.
Cleans the whole messy slate on this and other potential lawsuits...
Yet the D's are the ones out for the "little guys".

There seems to be a large number of second hand Chevy Volts for sale. Perhaps the used car segment was Barry's priority.

Maybe that is it, he is trying to rebuild it better after he destroyed it with cash for clunkers.
For a big gov't guy like him the answer to all failures is always more gov't so I could see it being his logic...

What is the net economic impact of the money spent?
If it was a net positive then it was a successful economic development investment. It's not just direct jobs , either. Think of all jobs with the suppliers and all the small businesses that provide goods and services to them.

And Mitt killed people with cancer (I'm guessing, some sort of cancer "gun", but that was never clear.)

So they "promised"? Excuse me if I leave a lot of room for doubt...
