He was an associate of Edwards and latter turned on him accusing Edwards of all kinds of corruption. He was murdered in broad daylight on the court house steps in Shreveport.
oh yeah--what was the relationship between EWE chief of administration Charles Roemer and mafia boss Carlos Marcello???

What does this have to do with movie tax credits?

Gunned down by the husband in a nasty divorce he was somehow involved in, as I recall.
He lived just around the corner from us when I was growing up.

EWE never gave away $200 million to the film industry BTW. He would made them buy a license and then installed Marion as the director of licensing.

I am quite certain our tax dollars through film tax credits subsidized he and his family's salaries as stars of "The Governor's Wife". Your tax dollars at work.

AG Commisioner Bob Odom was another one who lived around the corner. His house was 3-4 down the street from Clyde's.

Yeah, he was as crooked as a dog's hind leg, but he always somehow managed to beat the rap.

Relationship with EBR judge IMHO. The ADA from the parish whose name escapes me was very brave in his/her attempts to prosecute him.

I will never forget that on the weekend Bobby Jindal was elected governor he point blank refused to endorse Mike Strain over Bob Odom in the runoff they appeared to be heading for.

Considering the election results for candidates hand-picked or endorsed by Team Jindal, I'm very happy he didn't endorse Strain. We still might have that crook Odom in office.
Jindal's hand-picked guys are a probably win only when it's coward legislators casting the votes, i.e. John Alario.

I like Mike, but thought it was rather hypocritical of him to bust Fresh Market for selling milk below cost, but called-out Bob Odom for busting gas stations for selling gasoline below cost.

I agree but Jindal refusing to endorse him over Odom was a very early indicator of the political hypocrisy of the Governor.

FIFY. I knew Rivers, his nephew (Ramsone K. Vidrine's son), who was a complete psychopath.

Mike Strain's not afraid of Bobby Jindal.
