after stepping back from the season, then looking at those highlights, is it just me, or does Robinson and Ingram scream "more touches!!"?
It will be an interesting competition for reps. A 1st Rder ya traded for vs. an undrafted sophomore from West Texas AM. Cogitating predictions for the upcoming season I'm seriously thinking we might see the first runner with 200 carries since Deuce in 2006.

That was excellent.
After watching it, I'm definitely 100% on board with a more balanced offense and a power run game.. Ingram and Khiry seem like they'll be very complementary to each other. Ingram makes a few more small cuts, but Khiry just throws guys around like they're dolls and pushes piles like a young PT.
Also, I was actually at the game sitting on the opposite end zone so I somehow missed PT's beast stiff arm on Desmond Trufant

Things I notice after watching this:
-Ingram field vision and patience has improved, but he still needs to work on not running so upright
-Ingram relies on his balance to break tackles more than anything
-If I'm a defender, eff trying to tackle Robinson
-Robinson's speed is underrated
-I think both the young guys can develop into good pass catchers, although I'm not so sure about them doing screens

Some notes:
-Ingram's highlights were really impressive. But I have no idea where he earned the reputation of being a "power" rusher. In fact, he's very finesse. He appears to need a hole initially to get through; but once in space, he becomes very shifty and is able to angle himself away from defenders in a very interesting way.
-Agree with Pat that Robinson's speed is underrated. The scary thing is that his game still has room for improvement.
-I think comparisons to Ivory might actually underplay how good Robinson is/will be.
-Ingram and Robinson are very complementary.
-I was surprised to see how fast PT was at the beginning of the season. It's clear that he was as effective as ever early on and into the majority of the season. We really need to limit his snaps in the beginning, so that we can keep him reasonably fresh into the postseason.

favorite clip was Robinson's stiff arm on Bruce Irvin from the Seattle game.

That was a great video. I know they are only highlights but I have a ton of confidence in those guys to carry the load this year. I may be most excited about Ingram this year. I think this is the year he turns it wayyyy up.

This is why I said that PT needs to be our 3rd down/change of pace back.
Regarding our offense, have Ingram and Robinson split most of the carries, have more run/pass balance, and have more play-action in the pass game. For the draft, I'd look at another pass catching back, a WR, and OL on offense. Now, if one of the top TEs falls to us...
But all of those picks (minus the luxury TE) would be solely for depth, which is a great place to be.

Wait until we get McCluster (sp).
Ingram will stop running upright the first time someone plants him.

I can't tell if you're making a joke or really don't know.

Joke. We don't need him.
Hoodoo, I've followed the Saints since 67.
I'm an old man, but not senile, yet.

Robinson is a natural, crazy he was only a rookie
His balance is awesome and he is fluid when running
I hope the reports that he is working extremely hard this off-season is true cause he will be scary good
Ingram looked good as well...

I am still can't be a fan of Ingram. Way underperformed. Runs WAY to upright. Most important reason why I dislike him is because he still represents BAMA. It's Superficial but just telling the truth. I hate Bama.
Watching those films he didn't do anything that any other back in the league could do with the size of the holes he ran through. Robinson on the other hand is an absolute beast. He should get 60% of all the carries.

frick off tard. Yeah, how dare he rep his college. This is big boy football here. He fricking represents the black and gold now. Nobody here gives a shite what college he went to. Only dumb fricks such as yourself care about petty 3rd grade shite like that. Now pack your shite and gtfo. The rant misses your stupidity.

if ingram doesnt fumble that ball in the seattle game, the Ingram pain train would have been very strong this offseason.
I noticed this last season. 1: I was surprised by how fast he was once he got into the open field. 2: I was surprised by how little he can move a defender if he tries to run over them.
He's proven he doesn't need the power to be effective though, as these highlights display. Just goes to show you how off most mock draft quick analysis's and the such are though.

Hah, I had completely forgotten about the play where Khiry rolled over the seattle defender on the ground and got back up and ran for 5 yds.
The dude has got some between the tackle skills.
