i like the comments from this board like "When he was in the game, our offense was predictable"

really?

so we weren't pass heavy before he got here I guess.

Gotta fill the air time.

And Mark Schlereth is a piece of shite and an idiot.

He bitched on the radio one night about his knees being bad and that nfl docs gave him the run around on helping him out. He then claims that a lot of receivers getting hit over the middle weren't technically defenseless because they tensed their body and pulled into themselves before being hit.
As a whole statement it was moronic and incoherent. None of it fit together. Ever since then, I discount anything he has to say.

by throwing the ball, yes.

something we've done a lot of, even before he got here.

we kind of were. being a pass heavy offense just means we're going to throw it.

when sproles was in the game, we ran the same play...over...and...over. it gets sniffed out, that's what was predictable, not the passing

Crazy that he was able to catch 70+ balls for over 8 yards as a reception.

He's not what he once was, but he is still a valuable weapon in this league. And Philly is a great spot for his abilities.

it is because we were predictable alot this year. Being pass heavy has nothing to do with it.

Exactly. He is basically useless in the return game, but he brought value to the offense. But it wasn't something that can't be replaced, though it won't be easy. He saved us some much needed cap space and we were able to plug more pressing holes than an aging scat back.

They dont see the numbers. He aint what he used to be. I still think he is a viable weapon in a new system like philly with a high powered offense and elite skill players around him. But he was just used up in our scheme and wasnt contributing much. Saints were ready to go in a different direction and ready to move on from him and his contract. They knew teams/media would be overvaluing him based off of that 11 season and they were right. The organization made out with a 5th round pick for a player they were cutting anyway. ESPNs analysts are borderline retarded.

The goal line draw play that we kept running with him because it worked the first time but not any of the others comes to mind.

The option route which was his bread and butter was starting to get taken away. Between that fact and Graham being a huge advantage near the goal, Sproles receiving tds plummeted.

maybe so.

against good defenses like Seattle, NO team had all that much success.

i think that is where most of the griping is coming from.

and that's alright.

I'm just killing time bro.

it's just crazy that the Saints still had a Top 5 offense this past year. Reading this board sometimes you'd never know it though.

my sentiments exactly. I think he will do well in Phi. Not at his 2011 level, but his apc and ypc will be better there than they were here the last 2 yrs

I guess it's better than releasing Ware.
