If we could create a race of "perfect' persons for any given occupation

technology will matter more than the soldiers themselves, for a large-scale war
and petro products are going to exponentially increase in importance the next few decades. oil is probably the 2nd biggest reason for human development (after free trade and property rights), so it's pretty important

Government would be the worst place to put these "perfect" people. Our government is now run by idiots and they think and act like they are better than the common man. Just think how bad it would be if the people who governed were actually better than us.

Governing - would make better education and law making decisions
Teachers - would benefit from the better education laws and standards
Doctors - would benefit from teachers being better by learning more
Policing - police officers and detectives would learn the laws better from being taught in school with better teachers
Entertainers - would be learn theater classes better from the better teachers
Sports - probably decline because there would be more people with a chance in the working world because of better teachers
Porn - see sports

Define perfect. If we are talking about emotionless beings motivated by logic only then putting them politics would be suicide. They would be exterminating the weak and rounding up the elite for breeding in no time. The OT would rule the world.
