Cornerback Darrelle Revis and the New England Patriots have reached agreement on a one-year, $12 million deal, according to league sources.

Revis still needs to pass his physical and sign his contract. Once he does, it will continue Revis' reign as the NFL's highest paid cornerback and gives the Patriots the player they needed to replace cornerback Aqib Talib, who unexpectedly bolted for the Denver Broncos late Tuesday night.

I hate the Patriots

for a guy who hasn't done sh*t in over two years, he has made some serious cash.

You don't think he's a top 5 corner in the league?

It's not his fault that as one of, if not the best man corner in the game that the Bucs had him playing in zone for the majority of the last season.

Nhamdi was given a similar excuse to why he started to decline.

Revis and Jones will make a great combo for another first round exit of the playoffs

Darrelle Revis' "one-year," $12 million contract with the Patriots includes a club option for a second year. USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports the Patriots would have to pay Revis a $12 million roster bonus on April 1 of 2015, before a $7.5 million base salary plus $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses in order to keep him for a second season. Rather than exercise the option, New England would likely negotiate a long-term deal with Revis if he meets their standards of on- and off-field performance in 2014. But it's clear this could be more than a one-year marriage.
